Beautify your surroundings with the finishing touch of foliage. Plants provide a comfortable, attractive atmosphere for staff, clients and visitors, enhancing the impression of your company.

Indoor plants bring "nature" indoors, to reduce stress and increase morale.  Plants even clean the air of many common indoor pollutants.

Plants can create a garden for all to enjoy in reception areas and common areas such as halls and lunchrooms.  We even have special boxes that attach to panels to provide greenery for open office layouts. Consider using plants for live screens or permanent traffic safety barriers.

Not all plants are created equal!

Our 30 years of experience has taught us which plants work in offices, and which ones to avoid using.  As part our design process, we measure the light levels to select plants that will live and thrive in your office. We specially select plant material that has been custom grown in Florida with special soil, lighting conditions and watering, nutrient systems.  Plants are held locally under indoor lighting and lower humidity to acclimate them, ensuring plants are healthy and ready for office conditions.

Before installing your plants, we take them out of the grow pot and plant them into a larger decorative container, surrounded with a special light soil-less planting medium. This allows room for the roots to grow, and the plant won´t need repotting for many years.  These "direct potted" plants are usually healthier and more vigorous than plants that stay in their "grow pot."  Additionally, there is no need to hide the grow pot with messy moss or bark that reduces the plants´ ability to clean the air.

  • Low light: under a bright fluorescent fixture, at least
50-100 footcandles measured at desk height
  • Medium light: near windows (2-4 feet back or set to side of South, West, East window) 100-250 footcandles
  • High light: directly in front of a window (without blinds, shading or overhangs) over 250 footcandles
  • Exotic plants: Unusual plants for high light
  • Giant Plants: Trees and palms up to 30´

These light intensity categories are based upon duration of 10-12 hours per day minimum of 5 days per week.  Lower duration of light requires higher intensity for plants to live.

"Plants make our office feel upbeat and lively, that
also translates to upbeat and lively employees (and
     more productivity)"

    Benefits of Plants:

    • Enhance decor - Foliage plants are the finishing touch to a beautiful interior design. As artwork fills up bare walls, plants add a soft touch to angular furnishings and rooms. Rows of panels, empty hallways, and bare offices are enlivened with greenery. Older furnishings can be dressed up with plants, giving a modern appearance to outdated colors or design. Different varieties of plants can coordinate with all styles of decor, from classical to modern, contemporary to traditional.
    • Benefit employees - Psychological studies have shown that people are more at ease in a work environment with a window, or a view of nature. Indoor plants bring "nature" indoors, and can reduce stress and increase morale. Plants add color, and can soften impersonal cubicles.
    • Improve your company´s image - Visitors giving their impression of a company gave higher ratings if the office had plants. (Businesses with unattractive plants were rated below those with no plants.) Incorporate plants into the overall office design to provide a comfortable, attractive atmosphere for clients, visitors, and employees.
    • Clean your air - NASA studies have shown that plants remove most indoor toxins from the air. Pollution indoors can be 20-100 times the levels found outdoors. Cases of Sick Building Syndrome are on the rise as tightly-sealed buildings recirculate the toxins. Using a variety of plants can combat indoor pollution economically and efficiently. The worst culprits of indoor toxins are new carpets, furniture, and paint. They all can give off very high levels of fumes, for over a year.
